  • About the Team

Mongolian riding is defined by speed, balance, and an intuitive partnership with the horse. The flat, open landscapes allow for thrilling, high-speed gallops that feel like flying across the earth. But this isn’t just about the ride—it’s about understanding a culture where horses are woven into the fabric of daily life. For the true herders, the horse is not just a mode of transport; it’s a companion, a partner, and a cherished part of their identity.

    A Different Kind of Coaching

Forget what you know about traditional riding lessons. Our coaching is immersive and hands-on, conducted entirely on the steppe. You’ll learn to read your horse’s movements, adapt quickly to its rhythm, and develop a natural connection that mirrors the Mongolian approach to riding. It’s not about rigid techniques—it’s about feeling the horse and becoming one with its stride.

While traditional herders ride on Mongolian saddles, we understand that these can be challenging for those unfamiliar with them. That’s why we’ve prepared Western saddles for our riders, ensuring you can focus on the experience without discomfort, while still soaking in the authenticity of the journey.

  • Horses & Gear

Our horses are true Mongolian horses—compact, sturdy, and built for the extremes of the steppe. Standing shorter than many Western breeds, they are powerfully built, with strong legs and large hooves perfectly adapted to the terrain. These horses are survivors, thriving in temperatures ranging from -40°C to 40°C. They can quench their thirst by eating ice and possess an uncanny ability to find their way home from a thousand miles away. Tough and resilient, they embody the spirit of the Mongolian herders. Yet, for all their strength, they are remarkably gentle, making them the perfect companions for long days of riding.

    Riding Equipment

We equip students with helmets, body protectors, and leg guards in various sizes, all meeting European standards for equestrian safety. Our saddles are the most comfortable Western saddles with safety stirrups: deep seats, soft cushions, and strong wrapping support. This increases rider comfort while enhancing safety, allowing even beginners to ride with ease.

About the Route

Chen Barag Grassland: The Legendary Steppe of Genghis Khan's Brother

Step onto the same grasslands where Mongolian royalty once roamed. As the best-preserved wilderness in all of China, Chen Barag offers an untouched expanse of rolling high plains that seem to stretch into eternity. From June through August, this already breathtaking landscape transforms into nature's own masterpiece—a vibrant tapestry of wildflowers painting the green sea beneath endless skies. Here, you'll find the perfect terrain for long-distance riding: no steep slopes, no modern interference, just pure, unfiltered steppe as it has existed for millennia.

Argun Wetland Route: Asia's Largest Intact Wetland System

Prepare for landscapes that defy belief. The Argun Wetland sprawls before you as a labyrinth of serpentine rivers weaving through lush shrubs and mirror-like water channels. Dubbed "Asia's No. 1 Wetland" for its extraordinary biodiversity, this route offers something truly special—we'll ride to panoramic viewpoints where the entire watery universe unfolds at your feet. These unforgettable vistas blend ecological wonder with the raw adventure of horseback exploration, creating moments that will linger in your memory long after you've returned home.

Root River Crossing: Gallop Through Crystal Shallows

There are few sensations in life quite like this. As you guide your horse through the sparkling shallows of the Genhe River, hooves sending up shimmering sprays against the famous "nine-bend" curves, you'll understand the pure exhilaration that defines Mongolian riding. This is where speed meets nature meets nomadic spirit—a thrilling fusion that captures the very essence of why we ride. The water catches the light, the wind catches your face, and for those precious moments, you're not just crossing a river—you're flying.

Private Camping Site: Where Nomadic Nights Come Alive

As daylight fades, your journey continues around the campfire. Our private campsite sits in a pristine zone of complete darkness—no artificial light for miles, just the vast celestial dome above. Here, you'll discover the heart of Mongolian hospitality with our fully equipped kitchen, where traditional cooking comes to life: roast lamb leg turning slowly over the fire, fresh bread baking to golden perfection, aromas that have welcomed weary travelers across these steppes for centuries.

Registration Guidelines

  • This riding experience is suitable for anyone with a basic level of physical fitness—no prior riding experience required. The pace is relaxed and comfortable, focusing on enjoyment.

  • Weight Limit Policy: For the welfare of our horses and the safety of all riders, we strictly enforce a maximum weight limit of 80 kg. This policy is based on veterinary advice and equine biomechanics—not discrimination—to prevent fatigue, imbalance, or injury to the horse, which could lead to rider accidents. A horse carrying excessive weight may move sluggishly or lose balance, increasing the risk of a fall.

  • Risk Acknowledgement: Horseback riding involves inherent risks. Please ensure you are in good health and physically prepared for wilderness riding. Before payment, all participants are required to sign a liability waiver and strictly follow the instructors' directions at all times.

  • Mobile Signal: Mobile reception is generally good near the guesthouse. However, as the camp site in the grassland interior, signal strength may be limited.

  • Safety & Support: This is a deep immersion grassland experience. Coaches, a support vehicle, and logistics staff accompany the entire journey, with carefully planned routes designed for maximum safety.

  • Custom Group Options: We offer tailored proposal for corporate team-building, photography groups, parent-child activities, and family.

  • Departure Advice: On the final day, we recommend booking a flight departing after 5:00 PM to allow ample time for transfers.

Essential Packing List

Dress Code & Tips:

  • Bottoms: Wear elastic, close-fitting trousers while riding to reduce friction and chafing on your inner thighs.

  • Footwear: Please do not wear thick-soled shoes, as they can easily get caught in the stirrups. Thin-soled shoes or riding boots are recommended.

Temperature Fluctuations:

The temperature on the grassland varies greatly between day and night. Please prepare warm clothing for the early morning and evening (such as a light down jacket or fleece-lined layers) to avoid catching a chill.

Sun Protection:

Bring a neck gaiter, sunglasses, and sunscreen for outdoor exposure.

Insects:

The open grassland has little mosquitoes. However, it is still recommended to wear long sleeves and long trousers to prevent bites. We recommend bringing insect repellent and anti-itch ointment for your comfort.

The ranch provides professional riding protective gear (riding helmet, body protector, and leg guards). You are also welcome to bring your own if you prefer.
